RIB: Rib woven fabric has pronounced ridges in the warp or weft direction. The fabric can be made of any fiber such as cotton, wool, silk and other man-made fibers, and is used for making dresses, coats, furnishings and the rest.
Rib knitted fabric is manufactured by alternating wales of knit and purl stitches which produce a distinct lengthwise rib effect on both sides of the fabric.
