MUSLIN: Muslin is a plain weave, loosely woven cotton fabric. It is available in light to medium weight. In the unfinished state, it is stiff with speckled effect. It is used as an interlining in tailoring and sewing test garments. After finishing, it becomes soft and is used for making sheets, furniture coverings, dresses and other things.
